Footnotes
RIVERSIDE broke with the field but soon trailed, was pushed along into the turn, made a circling bid in the five path to get into contention, was driven three deep into upper stretch, sustained his bid under a drive with aim on JACKMAN, and caught that pacesetter inside the final sixteenth. JACKMAN was placed on the lead while taking some early prompting, continued on the pace in the two path on the far turn, ran on under a drive in the lane but could not hold off RIVERSIDE inside the final sixteenth. FACE VALUE raced between horses early just off the pace, settled back approaching the turn to chase outside of STRIKE RIDGE in the three path around the bend, raced four wide into the lane, proved no match for the leading pair despite going to a drive but chased on best of the rest. FORT WARREN tracked the pace early inside of FACE VALUE and COASTAL KID, began to lose ground approaching the nine sixteenths, trailed into the turn and raced in last in the three path around the bend, was driven inside in upper stretch while passing a tiring foe, drifted out in the lane and passed another tiring foe. STRIKE RIDGE chased inside foes down the backstretch and while racing in the two to three path on the far turn, was driven into the lane and came up empty. COASTAL KID stalked just behind and outside of JACKMAN down the backstretch and into the turn, came up empty in the four path from the five sixteenths and was eased in the lane.
