Footnotes
PAT CAN'T COUNT unprepared at the start and last away from the gate, allowed to settle early and trailed into the backstretch, saved ground into the far turn then angled out nearing the top of the lane, mounted a five wide rally to mid-stretch, took command into the final furlong and drew off late to win as much the best. OUTLAW RUN off bit slow then crowded at the start, was unhurried while saving ground in the early going, improved position two then three wide into the far turn, vied for the lead four wide into the stretch, was no match for the winner into the final furlong but bested the rest for the place honors. GOLDEN PURSUIT forwardly placed in the early going, tracked the pace between foes into the backstretch, went up to vie for the lead three wide nearing the half-mile, dueled inside of MIDNIGHT APPROVAL into the far turn then battled into the lane, yielded to the top pair in the final sixteenth and held for third. ABLE SEAMAN settled in the early going while never far back, was coaxed three wide into the far turn then caught in traffic and carried out nearing the quarter pole, angled back in for the stretch drive, weaved through rivals to the final sixteenth then just missed for third at the wire. MY REMBRANDT tracked the early pace from the inside, got caught in tight and between foes into the far turn, angled out then was carried out to the six path leaving the quarter marker, ran in pursuit to the furlong grounds then flattened out in the final stages. MIDNIGHT APPROVAL rated off of the early pace, made a four wide middle move nearing the half-mile marker then vied for the lead into the far turn, took a narrow advantage nearing the quarter pole then was overtaken approaching the furlong grounds, could not find more to the final sixteenth and gave way. THE MAN THE MYTH prominent in the early running, attended to the pace outside of HAT TRICK JACK into the backstretch then vied for the lead passing the half-mile marker, lost position into the far turn, chased the leaders to upper stretch then weakened in the final furlong. HAT TRICK JACK sent to take early command, set the pace to the half-mile marker then was overtaken, chased from the inside heading into the far turn, could not find more into the stretch drive and tired.
