Footnotes
MARTINI MAN broke sharply and assumed early command, set a solid pace to the turn, confronted by NOW THEN at the quarter marker, met that rival's bid to upper stretch then repelled the runner-up into the final furlong, kept to task under steady late urging and held sway to the wire. NOW THEN broke a step slowly then hustled to be forwardly placed early, chased from the inside heading into the turn, shifted out to confront MARTINI MAN at the quarter marker, bid two to three wide upper stretch, was repelled into the final furlong but stayed on to be second best. WISHMASTER settled early on while never far back, went up to chase between runners heading to the turn, lost ground at the quarter marker then angled three wide to upper stretch, couldn't make headway on the top pair into the lane but was well clear of the rest for third. JUST KEEP LOOKING settled outside to begin, went up to chase three to four wide into the turn, outkicked to upper stretch, angled in for the stretch drive and lacked a late response. HAT TRICK JACK crowded at the start and off slow, settled while saving ground to the turn, swung to the two path to upper stretch and failed to threaten late. AINT BEHAVIN hesitated at the start and spotted the field to begin, trailed to the turn, swung widest to upper stretch and did not factor. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START INVOLVING AINT BEHAVIN, AND DETERMINED THAT RUNNER CAUSED HIS OWN ISSUES LEAVING THE GATE AND NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
