GIANNO led the way on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, dueled in upper stretch, lost some ground on the leader in midstretch and then battled back gamely to get up for the win. MR FABRICATOR pressed the pace on the outside early, navigated the turn from the two path and dueled gamely to the finish to just miss. LACE UP stalked the leader on the outside through the opening quarter, came around the turn in the three path and was outkicked in the lane. CATHOLIC GUILT tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and faded in the stretch. LIGHTNING STRUCK trailed the field through the opening stages, continued around the turn in the three path and made no bid. NORTH ARM BAY raced off the pace up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the two path and was empty in the lane.
