THUNDERS ROCKNROLL tracked the pacesetter, was pushed along near the seven sixteenths to rally outside of CARSON BAY, led past the three eighths, carried a narrow lead over CARSON BAY into upper stretch, shook that foe off near the three sixteenths, drifted inward in upper stretch while narrowly clear of CARSON BAY, and rolled to an insurmountable advantage under a mild drive. CARSON BAY set the pace down the backstretch and while saving ground into the turn, was engaged by THUNDERS ROCKNROLL to her outside past the seven sixteenths, lost the lead to that foe near the three eighths but fought on doggedly, remained in contention to upper stretch, shifted out behind THUNDERS ROCKNROLL after that runner was narrowly clear in upper stretch, and chased on with interest under a drive to prove second best. LOVER GIRL chased well off the leading pair, was soon joined from the outside by BL FORTY, raced at the inside of the rear flight in a compact field into the turn, saved ground around the bend, proved no match for the leading pair from near the three eighths, gave chase down the lane and finished well clear for show despite drifting out several paths in the lane. HEAVENLY DESTINY raced near the rear early, was relegated to the rear past the five eighths, raced around the turn three wide in the rear flight, and lacked the needed rally under a drive in the lane. BL FORTY broke last, was keen between horses near the eleven sixteenths, chased two wide toward the rear down the back straight, raced around the turn between horses in the rear flight and came up empty in the lane. THE JOCKEY OF CARSON BAY CLAIMED FOUL ON THUNDERS ROCKNROLL, ALLEGING INTERFERENCE INTO UPPER STRETCH. UPON REVIEW, STEWARDS DETERMINED THUNDERS ROCKNROLL WAS CLEAR AND MADE NO CHANGE.
