PAT'S PADDOCK PICK broke quickly, pressed the pace outside of BODENHEIMER, engaged outside that foe in a duel while racing two wide near the three eighths, kept on with interest even when that foe briefly kicked in front in upper stretch, began to reel BODENHEIMER back in from the furlong mark, was grazed by that foe late as he drifted out but nonetheless overtook him for the lead near the sixteenth mark, and dug in to deny a late run from ATHENS MOON. ATHENS MOON chased the leading pair while racing inside of IT'S BOBS BUSINESS down the backstretch and in the two to three path on the turn, responded when put to a drive approaching the furlong mark, rallied well inside of BODENHEIMER, passed that foe, and missed catching PAT'S PADDOCK PICK by the narrowest of margins. BODENHEIMER was hustled hard to get the early lead over PAT'S PADDOCK PICK, was engaged from the outside by that foe near the three eighths, dueled until the turn for home, briefly kicked clear into upper stretch, was reengaged by PAT'S PADDOCK PICK inside the furlong mark, drifted out slightly and grazed that foe, was caught near the sixteenth mark and flattened between horses. CHROMED IMPULSE settled at the rear, raced in the four path on the turn, floated into the lane in the five to six path, and made a belated rally in the final furlong. IT'S BOBS BUSINESS chased outside of ATHENS MOON, was pushed along outside that foe while racing in the three to four path on the turn, went to a drive into the lane, chased on with interest to the wire but was ultimately outkicked.
