SUSHI MAN broke inward, dueled outside of HIGH RANSOM, took a narrow lead down the backstretch while still prompted from the inside by that foe, inherited a clear lead from the half when that foe began to weaken, set the pace in the two path on the turn, and kept on under a drive in the lane to prevail. VICTORIOUS VANDA was in tight between horses early, chased the leading trio, took closer order down the backstretch, improved to join inside of FROSTY VIEW to track the pacewhile saving ground around the far turn, proved no match for the pacesetter in the lane but chased on second best under a drive. FOUND JORDAN was in tight between horses early, settled near the rear, took closer order in the three path around the far turn, was able to avoid the incident near the quarter pole and ran on mildly in the lane to pass a tiring foe for show. FROSTY VIEW was anxious in the gate and bumped between horses early, raced keenly early to track the leading pair, continued to track the leading pair down the backstretch, was pushed along outside of VICTORIOUS VANDA, could not mount a bid on SUSHI MAN and flattened in the lane. SHANKAPOTAMUS settled at the rear, trailed through the first turn and down the backstretch, was pushed along to take mildly closer order in the two path on the far turn but could not sustain a rally down the lane. HIGH RANSOM raced keenly early and was sent to duel inside of SUSHI MAN, battled inside that foe down the stretch for the first time and through the first turn, pressed the pace inside of SUSHI MAN down the backstretch, began to weaken inside from the half, ducked out to avoid a fallen foe past the half marker, unseated his rider while doing so, but was apprehended and walked off the course. HAUNTED HAZE broke outward into foes, chased midfield in a strung-out group, was pushed along for a bid near the three eighths, chased in the three path on the far turn, was injured just past the quarter pole and was taken off the track in the equine ambulance. A STEWARDS INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE INCIDENT AT THE QUARTER POLE. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
