Footnotes
SHANKAPOTAMUS unhurried early to trail for the first half, rallied into the far turn splitting rivals, angled six wide at the top of the lane and closed with a rush on the outside to be clear late under confident handling. THE MAN THE MYTH stalked the pace from four wide to the far turn, rallied to challenge at the quarter pole, took a short lead in mid-stretch and was outfinished late in the drive. BEARS' D was always well placed prompting the pace from two wide, tipped around the tiring pacesetter to be four wide turning for home, rallied to loom midway down the lane and ran-on lacking a late kick. WESTDAKOTA raced mid-pack through the first turn on the outside, advance down the backstretch from five wide to engage the leaders on the far turn taking a brief lead at the quarter pole, remained prominetn to the the eighth pole and weakened late. KINGDOM CITY failed to menace. BLUSHING BEE went evenly without impact. AIRMAIL FLYER was not a threat. A ONE BEE ONE tugged early to take the lead, was the pacesetter for a half, weakened on the final bend and stopped in upper stretch.
