AFJAN vied with SECRET POTION for the lead from along the outside, shook that one off leaving the eighth pole and maintained a safe advantage. WORDS OF WISDOM saved ground while being unhurried, angled out to be three-wide entering the stretch, split rivals during the drive and closed strongly. SECRET POTION vied with AGJAN for the lead from along the outside into the stretch and held on well for third. SUPERSTAR SWANK was forwardly placed racing three-wide, came five-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. TRIPLE PASS prompted the early pace racing four-wide and weakened. BAYOU BENNY saved ground while being unhurried, came four-wide into the stretch but failed to seriously threaten. GIANNO raced five-wide while in the back of the field and trailed.
