Footnotes
THRILLA stalked from the three path, bid two wide around the far turn, assumed command turning for home then held from an outer bidder late. SPIRIT OF A WALKON pursued from midpack along the inside, progressed while tipping to the three path entering the lane, gradually closed in on the clear leader while hanging on his left lead in the final furlong, offered a late bid but was fended off. LEGITIMATE set a clear pace in the two path, but proved no match for an outer bier approaching the five sixteenths pole then yielded yet lasted for show. BIG GAIN brushed with an outer foe at the start, raced off of the pace in the four path and between horses, chased in the four to five path into the lane then stayed on mildly. MIDWAY MUNNY tracked two wide and between horses early on, chased in the two path around the far turn then gave way. MCAFEE brushed with rivals on both sides at the start, raced off of the pace in the five path and between horses around the first turn then was done early. GOOGOL JOKE brushed with an inner foe at the start, raced off of the pace in the six to five path then tired.
