Footnotes
VICKI ROSE bumped an outer rival at the start, led narrowly inside of an outer prompter, dueled with that one entering the lane, flopped back to her left lead while battling into the final sixteenth and gamely clung to the wire. ASHKENAZI bumped an inner foe at the start, prompted outside of the eventual winner, vied into the lane, dueled neck and neck through the final furlong but was denied. SWEET BEBSI was bumpe between horses at the start, trailed in the two path, swung five wide entering the lane then ran on to gain place late. SPOTAWAY was bumped between horses and put to crowded quarters at the start, tracked along the inside, claimed show from an outer foe while moving to the three path in upper stretch but got nailed nearing the wire. CAROL'S MELODY broke a step slow, stalked three wide, pressed within striking range turning for home but flattened out four wide in upper stretch and weakened.
