GARDINER was sent to the front, led in the three path as an outer pair applied pressure around the turn, shook free reaching midstretch and kicked away. SLIM SLOW SLIDER was fractious in the starting gate and required backing out for a veterinarian exam before being cleared to go, stalked outside of the top pair and from the five path, ranged up to bid turning for home, got repelled in upper stretch yet kept on to edge place in the final sixteenth. SLIDER prompted the eventual winner from the four path, bid between horses around the turn but proved no match for the leader in midstretch and yielded place late. MIACOMET stalked near the inside, chased the top trio turning for home and lacked a bid. RAISING KANE broke a beat slow, raced off of the pace in the three path, moved out to the five to six path in upper stretch and failed to factor. UPTURNED BRIM broke slowly, raced at the rear near the inside, shifted to the four path into upper stretch and made little impact.
