Footnotes
GEARING UP broke sharply then settled and stalked the early pace before looming up to challenge the leader at the 3/8 pole then took over into the stretch and held sway on the wire. BOLD STRENGTH got squeezed at the start then rated in the second flight while racing along the rail through the turn then altered five wide into the stretch and closed to be second best. HYPNUS rated in the second flight early then made a steady advance while four wide on the turn before being carried six wide at the 1/4 pole by BOLD STRENGTH then was gaining late. KALAHARI DREAMS tucked in early and assumed command while pushed along on the front end then contended into the stretch but gave way late. MASTER CONTROLLER raced close up early and chased the pace then angled five wide and made a bid into the stretch but flattened out. SYSTEMIC CHANGE was void of early speed and saved ground but was no factor.
