Footnotes
NOONI broke forwardly, dueled briefly with the other speed, relinquished that lead and pressed the pacesetter up the backstretch and into the turn, put a head in front between horses entering the stretch, drew steadily clear through the lane under steady handling. ROSWELL lacked early foot along the inside, traffic, waited 9/16, moved out, came four wide out of the turn when beginning to advance, continued to rally and was up late for the second spot late while widest of the second flight, no threat to the winner. COASTER lacked any speed for five furlongs while off the inside, set down while between horses upper stretch, staged a mild rally to be up late for the show. SPRING DANCER broke sharp, dueled inside the winner out of the chute, continued to hold a slight advantage into the turn, headed with a quarter remaining, fell back, moved out and continued to weaken. TAPIT QUICK broke out, was straightened to race within striking distance up the backstretch, lodged a mild bid three wide turning for home, stalled upper stretch then was floated out a bit with a furlong to run, continued to falter. SILENT LAW behind the pace along the inside, in traffic along the rail midway up the backstretch, waited, continued to save ground when back in stride turn, came up empty for the stretch run.
