KARAJAN led narrowly inside of an outer pair while a path off the inner rail into the turn, inched free leaving the three sixteenths pole then drew off through the final furlong. EPIC MAX broke a step slow, tracked from the two path, shifted four wide entering the lane then ran on to edge place in the closing stages. PIRATE SHIP prompted the top pair from the four path, bid in the four to three path entering the lane, but proved no match for the winner in midstretch then lost place to an outer rival late. MO OCTANE stalked along the inside, ran on mildly and needed more to forge show. KRINGLEJUSTKRINGLE bobbled a bit soon after the start, lacked speed while tucking inwardly into and around the turn then improved along the inside in the final furlong. HAT YAI leaned inwardly after breaking slow, trailed in the two to three path around the turn, fanned out to the five path leaving upper stretch and failed to menace. NEW CHIEF raced off of the pace in the three path, shifted to the four to five path in upper stretch and failed to factor. MY BIRTHDAY GIFT vied two wide and between horses while taking the turn in the three path, gave way entering the lane and weakened on his left lead.
