Footnotes
BARDSTOWN pursued from midpack in the three path and between horses, shifted out four wide in midstretch, rallied to reel in the leader late and drew clear. IDEATION (IRE) brushed with an outer foe at the start, pursued from midpack two wide, then between horses at the half mile pole, progressed turning for home, took aim outside of the top pair entering the lane, bid then forged an advantage at the furlong grounds but got caught by an outer bidder in the late stages. QUIGLEY was brushed by an outer foe leaving the gate, settled along the inside, swung to the five to seven path then rallied to reach show late. SAN MORITZ brushed with an inner foe at the start, stalked from the two to three path into the backstretch, had his outer hind heel clipped by an outer rival entering the far turn, yet sustained striking range around that bend, floated to the four path entering the lane then stayed on evenly before being outkicked for show late. CASTLE PINES pressed three to two wide, bid turning for home, got outkicked by an outer bidder in midstretch and yielded. TRAVELIN set the pace two wide, then along the inside down the backstretch, vied with an outer bidder turning for home, got outkicked by a wider challenger at the furlong grounds and faded. KOTETSU leaned inwardly and brushed a foe at the start, lacked speed in the two path then moved up. FREDDY TAUBER broke a step slow, trailed in the three path and failed to menace. MINED THAT GOLD settled two wide, between horses at the nine sixteenths pole, four to five wide into the lane and failed to factor. YALTA prompted along the inside, stalked down the backstretch, chased around the far turn then faded. CODE OF BRAVON was very fractious when loading, broke a beat slow before being hustled to chase from midpack four wide, five wide around the far turn and tired. BIATHLON stalked from the three to four path into the backstretch, clipped an inner rival's heel entering the far turn, faltered shortly after and was eased through the lane.
