Footnotes
WHITE WHALE pursued from midpack along the inside, shifted out to the three to four path with multiple lengths to find on the embattled leading pair in upper stretch, rallied to reel them in reaching the final sixteenth and drove clear. GUARDIAN set the pace along the inside as an outer rival pressed around the turn, got collared by that bidder passing the five sixteenths pole, dueled neck and neck through midstretch but got outkicked at the sixteenth pole then held place, then was found to have bled. STAY FOR THE BOOM pressed two wide, bid and sparked a duel nearing the lane, battled neck and neck through midstretch but got outkicked at the sixteenth pole then missed place. COLONEL COMPTON was put to subtly tight quarters between horses at the start, lacked speed two wide, tucked to the inside briefly nearing the lane, swung out to the five path in upper stretch and ran on mildly. DR FENN stalked from the four path then gave way. MALEVAJE lacked speed along the inside and failed to factor. HESPER chased from the two to three path, leaned to the four path into the lane and tired.
