BARREL ROLL tracked along the inside, loomed a danger outside of the top pair and from the four path around the far turn, bid at the five sixteenths pole, assumed command entering the lane then drew off under moderate urging. GUN FOR GLORY prompted two wide, led in the three path at the three furlong pole but got headed by an outer bidder entering the lane, proved no match and was second best. LUCKYLOUN pursued from midpack in the four path, chased around the far turn, proved no match for the top pair yet was best of the rest. LITHOS broke a step slow, lacked speed along the inside, saved ground but to no avail. SCOUTING REPORT raced off of the pace in the two path, swung to the five path entering the lane and failed to reach contention. STEVE WOOD stalked from the three path then faded between horses rounding the far turn. COLONEL ANDERSON broke a step slow, trailed two wide and made little impact. SALTWATER SOUL set the pace while vying with an outer prompter down the backstretch, proved no match for an outer pair with five sixteenths to go and stopped.
