YINZER brushed with an inner foe at the start, set the pace in the two path, felt pressure from outer rivals down the backstretch, vied while saving ground around the far turn, shook free passing the furlong grounds and edged clear. ENCINO stalked along the inside, shifted out to the three path and hindered an outer rival at the five furlong pole, pressed outside of the eventual winner shortly after, vied around the far turn but was turned away in midstretch, proved no match, yielded and saved place between horses at the wire. AIR RECRUIT pursued from midpack in the two to three path into the backstretch, then two wide around the far turn, chased between horses at the three sixteenths pole, shifted four wide at the sixteenth pole and ran on to place at the wire. JOHNY'S RENDEZVOUS brushed with an outer rival at the start, tracked near the inside before leaving the first turn two wide and between horses, steadied when shut off by an inner rival at the five furlong pole, saved ground again rounding the far turn, stayed on to vie for place in the final sixteenth but missed at the wire. NEAT progressed in the four path leaving the first turn to press the top pair with five furlongs to go, sustained pressure around the far turn but failed to do so in the four path in upper stretch then faded in the five path in the final furlong. ECHO LANE lagged behind in the two path and got outrun. THE RIDER OF JOHNY'S RENDEZVOUS CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST ENCINO ALLEGING INTERFERENCE AT THE FIVE FURLONG POLE. THE OBJECTION WAS UPHELD BY THE STEWARDS; ENCINO WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED FOURTH.
