TEXAS RED HOT broke out subtly at the start, laid off of the pace in the four path, progressed fanning to the six path into the lane, bid outside of rivals in upper stretch, drove clear at the furlong grounds and held sway from an inner pursuer. BIG PAPER trailed in the two path, brushed an inner foe while progressing in upper stretch, brushed another inner foe while split rivals at the furlong grounds, bid inside of the leader in the final sixteenth but was kept at bay. MASTER GAME pursued from midpack in the two path, progressed outside of the top pair turning for home, bid in the five path and between horses in upper stretch, got outkicked by his outer counterpart shortly after, yielded place to an inner bidder in the final furlong and managed show. KNICKS STORY prompted outside of teh leader, failed to sustain pressure after briefly cornering poorly into the far turn, rebid outside of the tiring leader and along with an outer pair in upper stretch, but got outkicked by rivals on both sides and tired. DENINGTON chased forwardly in the three path, gave way before being brushed by an outer foe in upper stretch and tired. CASTLE ISLAND showed the way along the inside, felt pressure from an outer foe while pulling away from the rest into the backstretch, built a clear advantage into the far turn, but was overhauled by outer rivals while getting brushed in midstretch and stopped.
