TRACK RANGER tracked the pace between rivals, settled back to the middle of the pack up the backstretch, loomed three wide wide through the turn, carried out a couple of lengths by TEJAS at the quarter, dueled with rivals in the stretch, kicked clear in the final sixteenth. TEJAS tracked the pace from the inside, moved up through the far turn to press the pace but lost some ground at the quarter, dueled with rivals in the stretch but was no match for the winner. EVENING NEWS showed good early speed, challenged to duel by rivals in the stretch, gave way inside the final furlong. PATCH O'BRIEN bumped between rivals at the start, raced off the pace through the first turn, steadily advanced along the inside of the backstretch, angled out five wide in the stretch but could make no more progress. JR'S GIFT trailed for most, passed tired foe in the stretch. DARYL'S BOLT tracked the pace four wide, began retreating in the far turn.
