OSCAR ECLIPSE pressed the pace from the outset, took over the lead past the seven-sixteenths, was clear midway on the turn, strongly urged outside the quarter pole, came out a bit in the stretch, held sway while being kept to task through the lane. INEXORABLE got away slowly and lacked early speed, moved out a bit up the backstretch, raced outside foes three to four wide into the turn at the rear, swung seven wide turning into upper stretch, drifted in a bit in the lane but kept on to secure the place. CARAMEL CHIP tracked in behind the leaders inside on or just off the rail, was ridden past the five-sixteenths, ran home evenly. GUNNER BAY stalked from outside up close going three to four wide on the turn, failed to rally. FURIOUS ANGER lacked early speed racing inside, switched outside a foe at the half, swung five wide into the stretch and ran on. UNLOAD shifted in heading up the backstretch, steadied slightly past the half dropping back inside, failed to menace. GOLD LUCK was allowed to settle into stride, made a mild advance from off the inside on the turn moving out late on that bend, came into upper stretch six wide and weakened. OLAZABAL set the pace pressured by the eventual winner, was overtaken by that one early on the turn, gave way in the stretch.
