EXPECT THE BEST broke outwardly, pressed outside of the leader, came under rousing to maintain pressure in the three path around the turn, drifted out to the five path in upper stretch, hung on his left lead yet sustained his challenge to claim even terms at the sixteenth pole and drove past late. MORUNNING showed the way along the inside as the eventual winner applied mild outer pressure around the turn, inched free of that one entering upper stretch, maintained a margin through midstretch, but drifted out while getting collared by his outer counterpart at the sixteenth pole and got bested. WEAPONIZED laid off of the pace in the four path, advanced around the turn to claim show at the five sixteenths pole, but drifted inwardly as an inner foe bid for that position at the three sixteenths pole, sparred with that foe for show through the final furlong and held. HANDSOME PANTS settled off of the pace along the inside, tipped to the three path and between horses into upper stretch, bid for show while getting floated inwardly by an outer rival passing the three sixteenths pole, battled with that one for that position through the final furlong but was denied. ARMY HERO bumped an outer rival at the start, tracked from the two path, chased into and around the turn, gave way into upper stretch then steadied when outer foe drifted in passing the three sixteenths pole and faded. WIND RIDER was bumped between horses at the start, pursued from midpack in the three path and between rivals, got outmoved to race off of the pace around the turn, floated out to the five path into the lane and tired. BARCA BILLY bumped an inner foe leaving the gate, then steadied back from tight quarters between horses early on, trailed in the five to four path and got outrun.
