Footnotes
ZAMBEZI leaned out subtly at the start, set the pace as an outer rival applied pressure into and around the turn, shook free entering the lane and drove clear. FIRST PLAYER pressed two wide and outside of the eventual winner, sustained pressure around the turn but proved no match for that one in upper stretch and was second best. AUTHENTIC GALLOP tracked along the inside and faded around the turn, then surpassed an outer outrun counterpart in the late stages to reclaim show. SIR BAHJY bumped the outer stall door upon leaving the gate and was off slow, trailed two wide early on, surpassed an inner fading foe at the three furlong pole, but failed to threaten the top pair before tiring through the final furlong and yielded show to his inner counterpart late.
