FOUNTAIN RUN set a clear pace early on, met an outer challenge around the far turn, repelled that bidder and shook clear in upper stretch, got collared by a different bidder in the final sixteenth yet held firm. WINTERS LION saved ground off of the pace, came under urging while in pursuit around the far turn, tipped out to the three path in upper stretch, sustained gradual progress to bid outside of the leader in the final sixteenth but was staved off late. YELLOW BRICK broke a step slow and brushed with an inner foe leaving the gate, trailed in the three to two path, shifted out to the four path while staying on into the final furlong and moved up willingly. COOL ANDY stalked in the three path while allowing the leader to move clear around the first turn, tucked to the two path into the backstretch, ranged up and offered a mild challenge outside of the leader around the far turn, but was repelled in upper stretch and gave way. BARRICADE broke a step slow and brushed with an outer foe at the start, laid off of the pace in the two path, then between horses down the backstretch, chased in the three path around the far turn, but got floated four wide in upper stretch and tired. MALIBU SPRINGS tracked in the four to three path into the backstretch, but weakened in the four path around the far turn.
