Footnotes
HEART HEADED tracked two wide and between horses, ran on in the three path into the final furlong, bid outside of the leader and along with an outer foe at the sixteenth pole, sparred with that one late and narrowly prevailed. DHABAB (IRE) settled well back two wide, paused behind traffic in the four path in upper stretch, split foes through tight quarters five wide into the final furlong, rallied to bid along with an inner rival at the sixteenth pole, vied late but missed at the wire. CHAMPLIN stalked two wide, pressed around the turn, bid in upper stretch, forged an advantage leaving the furlong grounds but got caught by an outer pair in the final sixteenth. NOTHING BETTER showed the way along the inside, led narrowly from an outer presser around the turn, got collared by that one in midstretch, headed leaving the furlong grounds and kept on thereafter. MISCHIEVOUS ROGUE raced off of the pace in the four to five path, got outkicked and floated to the six path in midstretch then stayed on mildly. AMERICAN MONARCH saved ground off of the pace, chased between horses into the final furlong and lacked a bid. JOE SHIESTY stalked along the inside, lacked room to split the leaders and steadied at the furlong grounds, then gave way. HENRO trailed in the three path, swung out to the seven path into upper stretch and failed to factor. DOUBLE CLUTCH stalked three wide, chased in the four path in upper stretch then faded between horses passing the furlong grounds. OPERATION SUNRISE lacked speed along teh inside, moved out to the three path in upper stretch, but suffered an injury in midstretch, was pulled up quickly after and transported off of the track in an equine ambulance.
