Footnotes
MAKING DAISYS pursued the leader from outside, took closer order at the five-eighths pressing, was encouraged along past the three-eighths, bid at the quarter pole taking a narrow lead, moved clear in mid-stretch, met a rival past the sixteenth pole and dug in to just hold. TAHLEQUAH came out a bit at the start, settled outside a foe stalking the leaders, shifted out fanning five wide into upper stretch, gained past the furlong marker drawing nearly even approaching the wire but missed. CHANCEOFALIFETIME tracked in behind the leaders inside, was encouraged forward from the half, made a mild bid along the fence leaving the turn and cutting the corner into upper stretch, kept on but needed more late. EAST BAY quickly moved clear, set the pace from off the rail, was pressured into the turn, vied between runners on that bend, weakened in the stretch. STARDUST BIGGY was in a bit tight at the start, raced outside at the rear, was never near enough to threaten. MYSTERY DATE raced inside, failed to menace.
