ALAPOCAS was off a step slow and settled early, advanced two wide and eased out nearing the five-sixteenths and came four wide by the quarter pole and closed well on the outside to go on even terms for command by the sixteenth marker and then got up late to prove best under a drive. FISSION was away alertly to set the pace in the two path, dug in gamely nearing the furlong marker and was headed leaving the sixteenth marker but yielded late. THE GABE DIGGER prompted the pace along the rail and angled off the inside leaving the turn but lacked room nearing the furlong marker and angled back in to the inside but found not enough room inside the furlong ground and then altered course again late while running on to best the rest. X G MAN prompted the pace and made a three wide bid on the turn and then was in between rivals nearing the furlong marker and steadied, angled out for clear racing room but flattened out. DONA MARIA was off a step slow and chased the pace four wide and was three wide by the quarter pole and weakened. JIMMIJAC was off very slowly and then was outrun while on the rail into the lane.
