GETTING SERIOUS was settled and guided to the rail, shuffled back on the far turn while still on the rail, angled out to the far outside by the three-sixteenths and closed full of run to edge away late to prove best. MIA FAMILIA was reserved early two wide, between rivals down the backside, swung out six wide leaving the turn to make a bid and led inside the furlong grounds but was caught by the winner and had to settle for being second best. CONNECT THE STARS was reserved early, advanced three to four wide on the far turn and made a bid four wide leaving the turn but flattened out while besting the rest. BELLE OF THE BARN was settled early in between rivals, continued covered up two to three wide on the far turn but lacked a winning bid while improving position. SCREEN TEST was reserved early three wide and advanced three to four wide on the far turn but lacked a rally. COOPERATION (FR) set a pressured pace and weakened in the final furlong. HORSING AROUND pressed the pace three to two wide and made a bid to vie for command by the quarter pole but weakened in the final furlong. DADDARIO tracked the pace in between rivals two wide and tired. ATHENIX tracked the pace on the inside and tired in the lane. After the running of this race, the EIGHTH RACE WAS CANCELLED BY THE VIRGINIA RACING COMMISSION STEWARDS due to heat index.
