MIGHTILY checked repeatedly on the inside into and on the first turn, then continued to be hard to rate down the backside, finally by the half mile marker settled into stride while still saving ground, sat the pocket on the fat turn and eased off the rail by the quarter pole and came four wide into the lane and made a bid to go on even terms for command by the furlong marker and then kicked clear to prove best under a drive. SALLY MACLENNANE was settled early on the inside, moved out to be three to four wide on the far turn and advanced by the quarter pole, came five wide into the ,lane and finished well to gain the place award late. CHEROKEE PURPLE was off slowly and spotted the field about two lengths, trailed while in the two path on the first turn, dropped to the inside and advanced by the quarter pole, came out a path and split rivals by the furlong marker and kept on but lost the place award late. A LA MODE prompted the pace and made a two wide bid to duel for command by the quarter pole, gained a short lead leaving the three-sixteenths and then vied for command between rivals by the furlong marker and faded in the final sixteenth. PRINCESS CHANTY chased the early pace two wide and checked on the first turn, continued two wide down the backside and then was in between rivals nearing the quarter pole but had no late kick. LAST MOVE brushed a tad at the start, steadied into the first turn, three wide on the first turn and down the backside,, made a three wide bid nearing the quarter pole and came four wide into the lane but came up empty. AMAVIDA was away alertly and showed the way on the inside, headed by the quarter pole and fought on to the furlong marker but tired in the final furlong.
