FOR THREE YEAR OLDS (REGISTERED VIRGINIA/MARYLAND BRED & OR VIRGINIA/MARYLAND SIRED). No nomination fee. $300 to enter and $300 to start. Supplementary nomination of $1,250 (which includes entry and starting fees) may be made at time of entry. $125,000, with 60% to owner of the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weight: 122 lbs. Non-winners of two races other than maiden or claiming or starter allowed 2 lbs, a race other than maiden or claiming, 4 lbs. Starters and rid ers to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. This race will be limited to fourteen (14) starters. In the event more than fourteen entrants pass through the entry box, preference will be given to winners, then highest lifetime earnin gs. Any horse excluded due to the aforementioned preference shall be refunded the entry fee and supplementary nomination fee if applicable. PONT AVEN was in a bit tight at the break, moved to the outside and settled early, made a four wide move on the turn and made a four wide bid leaving the turn to be clear leaving the three sixteenths, moved out by the furlong marker to herd CLOSE THE GATE and dug in nearing the sixteenth marker when that rival engaged and then held on gamely to prove best under a drive. CLOSE THE GATE was settled early, then moved out and circled the field and came six wide off the turn and bumped with MAGIC WALLET leaving the quarter pole, continued that move and engaged the winner nearing the sixteenth marker and dueled to the wire but missed. MAGIC WALLET was rated early and then moved out to make a four to five wide bid leaving the turn and bumped with a rival leaving the quarter pole but flattened out in the final furlong. SAV'N MONEY was reserved early, two to four wide on the turn and swung out seven wide leaving the turn and had a belated rally. G Q WORTHY bumped at the start, then was settled back on the inside, angled out nearing the furlong marker and bumped with a rival and then showed late interest. TOP MANIPULATOR bumped at the start and then tracked the pace from the inside and weakened in the lane. STATE CONCEAL set the pace and shook clear and raced in the two path on the turn then was headed leaving the turn and weakened. TARTABULL tracked the pace and made a mild bid three wide on the turn but fell back leaving the turn and was bumped by the furlong marker and was empty late. OBJECTION the number against the number one for interference in the lane, after the STEWARDS reviewed the replays the OBJECTION was DISALLOWED.
