Footnotes
CITY OF OSCARS set the pace along the inside turning up the backstretch, waited while just off the rail around the far turn before coming under a ride going by the quarter, and kicked on to forge clear. PATRICK'S PROMISE trailed in the two path, came under pressure along the rail entering the far turn, but got stymied from the five-sixteenths pole to the three-sixteenths pole, then found room along the rail, and ran on up the inside to get up for place late. LONGHI rated in the three path, was roused midway around the far turn, swung from the five path into the stretch, and kept on outside of foes for show. KORU settled in range while between rivals in the two path, was cued between rivals while in traffic midway around the far turn, angled out to the four path at the top of the lane, and finished evenly between rivals. PHIL'S PRINCE stalked in the three path, was coaxed midway around the far turn, bid in the four path passing the quarter, but faded between rivals in the final furlong. BONFIGLIO tracked inside, waited behind the pacesetter along the rail around the far turn, came under pressure while tipping out to the two path at the top of the lane, but weakened. LA HOULIGAN settled up close in the two path turning into the backstretch, was coaxed along between rivals around the far turn, but retreated in the stretch.
