THE BRIGADE settled off pace in the three to four path and came out seven wide in the upper before getting bumped from the inside then drew clear in the final furlong to prove best. PROMISSIO settled back early and advanced around the turn in the three path, then swung seven wide into the upper but was cut off and checked but just lasted to get the place award. ZEVON was bumped entering the first turn and settled mid-pack on the inside, then came two to three wide on the turn and tipped back to the inside in the upper but was outkicked for the place award. OUR SOUPER HERO settled mid-pack in the three path and came out six wide into the upper before lugging out and bumping with a rival but had just enough to get the minor awards. RECKLESS bumped a rival entering the first turn and shifted to the inside to track the pace, then came out three wide in the upper and tipped back in but was outfinished in the stretch. IZZY D'ORO stalked the pace from the two path and came three wide around the turn then five wide into the upper but weakened late in the stretch. BRIGHTY set the pace from the inside and held out til the upper but faded in the stretch. ORACLE OF BEAUFORT saved ground through the early stages and came four wide into the upper and tried to make a move late but lacked room. BOLT FROM ABOVE trailed the field through most of the race and was no factor. THERE WAS AN OBJECTION FROM PROMISSIO AGAINST THE BRIGADE IN THE STRETCH, BUT AFTER VIDEO REVIEW NO CHANGES WERE MADE.
