COVERT LAW set a pressured pace while dawdling along on the inside, shook clear leaving the turn and then dug in gamely in the final furlong to hold on to prove best under a drive. FUERTEVENTURA prompted the winner two wide throughout and then was sent down leaving the three sixteenths and fought on willingly but missed. PAPA GOLF was well rated on the inside, then angled out by the three sixteenths then back in and tried to go up the rail but was shut up inside the furlong grounds and then angled back out but it was too late and had to settle for being best of the rest, rough trip. END OF ROMANCE (IRE) tracked the pace two wide and had no kick in the lane. MISTER ABARRIO was reserved early two wide and advanced two to three wide on the far turn but had no late punch. CAN GROUP was taken back and guided to the inside while trailing, angled out in the lane but lacked a solid rally. TOSEN WISH (IRE) was reserved on the inside and angled out in the lane but had no rally. OTAGO was rated two wide and moved out to make a three wide run on the far turn but tired in the lane.
