Footnotes
EXCESSIF set the pace along the inside and was well handled, sent down leaving the three sixteenths and held well to prove best under a drive. GOLDEN CORSAIR was well placed along the inside and sat the pocket on the turn, tipped out three wide for aim on the winner and made a bid and was gaining late but could not get by in a good effort. STEEL OF FORTUNE was settled early and saved ground on the turn, moved out in the lane and finished well but needed more. LOU'S ROOM prompted the pace two wide and was shuffled back on the turn and then was in between rivals by the quarter pole, angled out four wide by the three-sixteenths and made a mild bid to the furlong marker but was one paced late. SOUPER HANDSOME was settled early and raced two wide by the three eights marker and then moved out to be four wide by the quarter pole but lacked a late rally. BOMBAY prompted the pace three to two wide and weakened in the lane. SOUPER LAWRENCE chased the pace and was ridden along three wide by the quarter pole, moved in leaving the turn and weakened while racing green. PRIZE PERFORMANCE was reserved early and trailed, came four wide into the lane and never threatened.
