Footnotes
NOBLE JON stalked the leading pair in behind near the inside, shifted four wide leaving the turn, took command in upper stretch, drew clear, was eased up late. ROOMMATE MARTIN settled just off the pace inside, saved ground on the turn, sought room in upper- to mid-stretch altering out five wide past the furlong marker, was second best. SLIPPIN JIMMY stalked from outside four wide through the turn, ran on evenly. POINT LIAM settled off the pace outside runners, went three wide on the turn, angled seven to eight deep in the stretch, gained late outside. TOUGH WORKOUT had a narrow early lead racing off the inside, was headed and dueled inside a rival through the turn into the stretch, lacked the needed late kick. CECIL THE GREAT was outpaced early racing toward the back, saved ground on the turn, came out near the sixteenth pole and ran on. THE BULLION BOMBER (IRE) forced the pace from outside, dueled through the turn into upper stretch with a narrow lead, weakened. CATALINA EXPRESS switched out off the inside early, advanced between foes heading to the turn, raced mid-pack two to three wide on that bend, came out in the stretch, faded. EVERDOIT lacked early speed bringing up the rear from off the rail, was never near enough to threaten.
