CELTIC CONTENDER away in good order, stalked the pace in the three path, moved to challenge outside the early leader turning for home, took over, edged clear in hear track record time in a sharp effort. SUREMEANTTOOBE in the second flight early while between horses, dropped inside for the run through the turn when still forward, saved ground into the lane, switched out past the furlong marker and finished well to be up late for the place. SHOWSTOPPER COPPER away well, set the pace just off the inside, responded when the winner challenged inside the furlong marker, yielded to that one a sixteenth out then continued to weaken to be caught late for the second spot. S S SINATRA in tight just after the break to be last away, continued to lag into and through the turn, steered out in the two path entering the stretch and lodged a belated run while remaining toward the inside. GOODBYE NOTE in the second group early, shuffled back while between horses, moved out, five wide through the turn, showed some mild late interest to better his position. SUBROGATE advanced early, was forwardly placed off the inside, raced three wide and in good position through the turn, had little for the stretch run. GOING UP failed to menace while racing along the inside. PINFIRE tired while racing three wide.
