DEVELOP PRODUCT stumbled at the break and came four wide on the turn, then drew clear nearing the furlong marker to prove best under steady crop urging. PYROMANIA was a step slow leaving the gate, came about four wide on the turn and closed up late for the place award. HOME INVASION was forwardly placed in the two or three path a fair margin behind the leader, assumed command briefly near the three furlongs marker and then weakened heading down the lane. EDELWEISS was off the pace in the three path and split rivals nearing the five sixteenths marker and shifted in off the bend and made a mild gain. ANNA JEAN was settled back on the inside, shifted out five wide into the upper and had no kick. BLAME THE RIVER was placed mid pack while being widest, came about five wide on the turn and swung out further to the eight path in the upper stretch and made no bid. PACE YOURSELF settled mid pack along the inside and eased out on the turn from the two path out to about the five path nearing the upper stretch but had no kick. ROYCES RIDE set an unchallenged pace and shifted to the inside rail and faded mid way through the turn.
