WHY in mid pack early while well wide, angled in a bit to save some ground into the turn, came four wide for the drive, set down, kicked down the leader inside the furlong marker and drew clear while kept to pressure. COUNTRY ECONOMICS broke sharp to show the way early, dueled through the turn closest to the inside, put the other speed away entering the stretch to be clear in upper stretch, proved no match for the winner late, held sway for the second spot. DIP FANTASIA broke with the runner up, fell back off that one and another rival into the turn, continued to race behind the leaders late backstretch while off the inside, continued to chase the dueling leaders through the turn, improved a bit exiting the turn while inside the winner and a weakening CHESTERTOWN JANE then went evenly through the lane to report home best of the rest while lacking a finishing kick. SHENADOAH SUNRISE settled in mid pack off the inside, came three wide for the stretch run, also went one paced to the wire to finish up evenly. MACA ABARRIO last away, continued to lack speed inside, improved a bit up the inside without ever posing a serious threat. CHESTERTOWN JANE moved up to duel outside the runner up into the turn, remained on equal terms with that one until late in the bend before giving way. LIGHTEN in a bit tight at the start, never menaced while racing off the inside. LUCKY TIN TIN brushed start, was finished early, trailed home well back.
