MONETA AGENDA bothered by GOOD LOOKERNESS at the start to be away slowly, continued to lack speed, tipped out to be five wide for the drive, came in past the furlong marker when rallying forcing DO THE RIGHT THING inward in tight quarters who in turn bothered GOOD LOOKERNESS, was straightened, lodged an outside bid soon after, spirited drive to the wire, showed good determination late to prove narrowly best. FUTILE GESTURE pressed the early leader from the outside, continued to vie through the turn while between horses, long drive to the wire, outkicked in the waning strides while once again between foes. HAREWOOD behind the lead pace along the inside, asked for some run into the lane, challenged up the rail in midstraight, held a narrow advantage late, was also outfinished at the wire. GOOD LOOKERNESS broke out to bother MONETA AGENDA, was straightened to race between the pace toward the inside, two path into the straight, steered out nearing midstretch, was bothered by DO THE RIGHT THING after that one was pushed in with a furlong remaining, recovered and went in even fashion to the finish. DO THE RIGHT THING prompted the issue for a half while in the three path, was pushed in and put in tight by a drifting MONETA AGENDA entering the furlong grounds, checked up and fell back. REMEMBERTHEWORD in the second flight while outside, asked along midway on the turn, had little left for the drive. FISSION broke on top, set a pressured pace along the inside, continued to hold a slight advantage through the bend then gave way when headed entering the stretch. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF DO THE RIGHT THING AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN MIDSTRETCH, THE RESULT WAS ALLOWED TO STAND.
