Footnotes
NEON NIGHTS was away alertly to show the way early while clear, then was pressured nearing the half mile marker and pressured thru the turn and then shook clear leaving the turn and then dug in by the furlong marker and held on gamely to prove best under left handed crop urging. PAGODE stumbled badly at the break and was off slowly, advanced three wide on the turn and made a three wide bid off the turn and lugged in by the three sixteenths and again by the furlong marker and rider switched to the left handed crop and then was gaining late but had to settle for second best. RULE SIXTY TWO was allowed to settle early, advanced and came five wide off the turn by the quarter pole but lacked the needed winning stretch bid while keeping on for the show award. BEYOND BEST chased the early pace and then fell back and moved to the inside on the turn, cut the corner leaving the turn and improved but had no kick. HONEST AL was well placed along the inside, moved out leaving the five sixteenths and came three wide by the quarter pole and tired. SHEPHERD chased the early pace on the outside and then moved up to press the winner two wide on the turn but tired the final quarter of a mile.
