NAPTOWN was reserved early, advanced three to four wide on the far turn and came seven wide into the lane and closed well to draw clear in the final sixteenth to prove best under a drive. PRIMED TO GO was allowed to settle early, between rivals by the quarter pole and made a three wide bid to vie for command by the furlong marker but was out-kicked by the winner while holding on to the place award. LAZLO was rated along three to two wide, advanced two to three wide on the far turn and made a four wide bid to loom boldly by the furlong marker but was out-finished. GAS ALLEY was bumped at the start, then was rated along the inside and cut the corner leaving the turn and got thru on the inside by the furlong marker but needed more. THEMANUPFRONT was sent to the front to show the way and moved to the inside and opened up a big lead down the backside, came two wide into the lane and was headed by the furlong marker and dug in but faded. QUOKKA was settled early on the outside and made a four wide move on the far turn and came six wide into the lane but flattened out. SAMBALOVER was unhurried early and moved to the outside on the backside and was five wide on the far turn and never threatened. TWIRLING TROILLET was towards the front early but took a bad step nearing the first turn and dropped back on the inside and then never factored on the inside.
