Footnotes
BIG EARN broke with the leaders, vied up the backstretch between horses, narrowly showed the way into the turn, dueled closest to the inside through the bend, shook clear while still under light restraint when straightened for home, maintained the advantage to the wire under a steady hand ride to win ridden out. SPLASH OF JACK broke back, lacked speed inside, continued to lag turn while saving ground, rallied up the inside to prove second best, no real threat to the winner late. TIERRA SANTA flashed early foot along the rail and inside the winner, fell back off the dueling leaders late backstretch, moved off the rail into the two path, went evenly to the wire to finish best of the rest. HAIL NO stalked the lead pack from the outside for three furlongs, lacked a closing response. DRIFTING vied three wide up the backstraight, dueled outside the winner through the turn, gave way in the drive. SMOKEY RAIN broke back and never menaced.
