Footnotes
RIGEL broke well, allowed the early leader to go into the first turn, engaged that one from the outside just before a half, dueled into the far turn, shook off that same rival by late in the bend, opened up a sizable advantage upper straight then held the runner up comfortably safe late while under a left then right handed crop. AMERICAN UNITY settled in the second flight inside, steered out around the tiring early pacesetter late in the final turn, managed to close the gap somewhat on the winner the final furlong while not a serious threat to that one, clearly second best. HAPPYISASHAPPYDOES worked way clear up front before a quarter, dueled inside the winner the middle part then could not keep up with that rival or the runner up, saved the show. CLASS PHOTO went one paced throughout while off the inside in lacking a closing response. STORMING CHROME last to leave, was a bit rank past the wire the first time, remained back in failing to threatened.
