Footnotes
IN THE HUNT vied up front out of the chute, continued to contest the pace in the run up most of the backstretch, fell back a bit into the turn, moved out, rebid between horses into the stretch while in the three path, gained the advantage, allowed the runner up the inside approaching the furlong grounds, dueled outside that one to the wire, proved best in determined fashion. JOKES RESERVE raced back off the pace inside, crept closer through the turn, challenged inside the winner with a furlong to run, raced on equal terms with one to the wire, outdueled late. SEISMIC SURGE back off the pace and the inside, made a mild advance four to five wide late in the turn, lost some ground to the top two into the lane, kept grinding to be along for the show late, not a threat to that same pair at the end. IMPERIAL CHARTER behind the pace outside, moved closer four wide through the turn, flattened out through the stretch. MOLITOR dwelt at the start to spot the field several lengths, continued back early, advanced off the inside late in the turn, dropped inside the final furlong and finished up with some mild interest. TEOTIHUACAN with the pace while four wide out of the chute and up much of the backstretch, shook clear into the turn, showed the way in the two path through the bend then yielded to the winner when headed entering the stretch. INDIGO MO vied early while between horses, chased the winner into and through the turn then backed up in the drie. GOALPOST broke back, moved up to race in mid pack then was finished before a half. ARMY RUN flashed brief early speed while between foes, fell back after a quarter, continued to fade then stopped through the stretch to finish far back.
