INNER TURF FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. No nomination fee. $375 to enter and $375 to start. Supplementary nomination of $1,500 (which includes entry and starting fees) may be made at time of entry. $150,000, with 60% to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weights: Three year olds, 122 lbs. Older, 126 lbs. Non-winners of a graded stake over a mile on the turf since January 15, allowed 2 lbs.; of two races over one mile on the turf since then, 4 lbs. (mai den, claiming and starter races not considered). Starters and riders to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. This race will be limited to fourteen (14) starters. In the event more than fourteen entrants pass through the entry box, preference will be given to graded stakes winners (in order I-II-III), then highest earnings in 2024-2025. Any horse excluded due to the aforementioned preference shall be refunded the entry fee and supplementary nomination fee, if applicable. Trophy to the winning owner. SAFE TRIP HOME unhurried for a mile off the inside, asked for run early in the third turn, came four wide for the drive, unleased a burst with a furlong to run to reach the front, drew clear under steady handling. DESVIO reserved along the inside, continued devoid of any speed through the final turn, moved outside, began a belated, steady really while out in the course and widest, in time for the second spot, not a threat to the winner. JUST A PHOTO settled off the pace and the inside, continued to save ground third turn, shifted out a bit to challenge outside the weakening leader and inside the winner, could not match the latter late, caught in the final yards for the place. DEAR DAD pulled while slow to settle behind the early leader for a half, took over into the second turn, opened a sizable advantage up the backstretch the second time while attempting to rate, offered brief resistance when confronted in upper stretch then began to weaken. TWIRLING POINT within striking distance while off the inside after a mile, asked along in the three path and inside the winner turning for home, had little left the final furlong. DEAN MARTINI clear early, relinquished the advantage past the wire the first time, chased the new leader onto and up the backstretch, gave way in the drive.
