INNER TURF FOR THREE YEAR OLD FILLIES. No nomination fee. $625 to enter and $625 to start. Supplementary nomination of $2,500 (which includes entry and starting fees) may be made at the time of entry. $250,000, with 60% to the owner of the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weight: 122 lbs. Non-winners of a graded stake at a mile or over on the turf allowed 2 lbs.; a sweepstakes at a mile or over on the turf, 4 lbs. Starters and riders to be named through the entry box byth e usual time of closing. This race will be limited to fourteen (14) starters. In the event more than fourteen entrants pass through the entry box, preference will be given to graded stakes winners (in order I-II-III), then horses that have finished secoon d or third in a graded stake, then highest turf earnings. Any horse excluded due to the aforementioned preference shall be refunded the entry fee and supplementary nomination fee, if applicable. Trophy to the winning owner. AS CATCH CAN settled off the pace inside, patiently handled up the backstretch and into the far turn, crept a bit closer while still in hand and saving ground late in that bend, called on for run when straightened for home, challenged inside the pacesetter just inside the furlong marker, long drive to the wire, proved best in determined fashion. EVERSHED (IRE) moved up to take control into the first turn, clear onto the backstretch, rated comfortably, the middle half, continued to hold a daylight advantage into the straight, allowed the winner the inside a furlong out, responded, dueled to the wire, proved stubborn to the end. SOMETHINABOUTHER away in good order, raced forwardly and inside, moved off the inside and advanced on the runner up second turn, closest with a quarter to run, fell back a bit in losing some ground to the top pair into the straight, could not get back to those two late in lacking a knockout punch. PRETTY LAVISH (IRE) raced back of the early pace toward the inside, two path into the far turn, moved out to be three wide for the drive when displaying some mild interest nearing midstretch, went one paced the final furlong to finish up evenly. SIGH NO MORE (IRE) last to leave, lacked speed, in some traffic into the far turn inside, cut the corner to improve inside some some rivals into he lane, continued to improve slightly without posing a serious threat. MISCHIEF IN MOTION raced in mid pack while off the inside, three wide final turn, lacked a closing response. STILLTHINKINGOFYOU forwardly placed for just over six furlongs while off the inside, gave way in the drive. SHEILA'S LION broke back and was never a threat.
