VEKOMASAN broke forwardly from along the inside, showed the way while under some pressure into the first turn, firmly rated up the backstretch, opened up a daylight advantage into the straight and held the runner up comfortably safe late under steady handling. PLAY IT COOL shuffled back from between horses past he wire the first time, continued back, briskly roused turning into the stretch, steered out widest when straightened for home, late surge to be up for the place late, not a serious threat to the winner. SHAKIN MY HEAD last to leave, moved up and assumed a forward position three wide before a quarter, continued to stalk the winner from the outside into the far turn, lost some ground to that same rival while remaining outside into the lane, battled back for the second position past the furlong marker but could not contain the runner up. DYNACITO prompted the winner from the two path, continued closest to that one into the lane, gradually weakened in the run through the lane. STONE COLD JONES forwardly placed between horses, fell back and dropped inside to track the issue the middle half, raced in the second flight nearing the furlong grounds then was found lacking late. COCO NO LOCO void of speed toward the inside, lacked a closing response in the drive. BLACK JACK SHELLAC was finished after a half, well back at the end.
