TURBULENT FORCE close from the start, pressed the leader into the turn while under some restraint, joined that one from the outside entering the stretch, dueled, wore that same rival down under steady handling. AMERICAN WIND also broke well, cleared toward the inside early, pace into the turn, dueled inside the winner through upper stretch and proved stubborn until late, clear of the others. HOLD UP off a step slow, moved up on the outside, four wide through most of the turn, came three wide for the stretch drive, chased the dueling leaders past the furlong marker, could do little with that duo late, held the show in the waning strides. FREESTANDING back off the pace while saving ground, moved out for the drive, staged a mild rally, not enough late to earn the third spot. ENAHM within striking distance for three furlongs three wide, dropped to the inside late in the turn, lacked a closing punch the final furlong. BORLETTI (IRE) lacked speed off the inside, four wide exiting the turn, also lacked a closing rally. FEDERAL EXCHANGE in the second flight early, staged a steady retreat. LOVIELEE trailed throughout and was never a factor.
