Footnotes
TWAIN outrun in the early going while saving some ground, continued back into the far turn, asked for run late in the bend when advancing toward the rail, worked way to the outside in upper stretch, late surge to nail the leader in the final yards. KING COVEE also unhurried early, asked along far turn, in the two path turning into the stretch when advancing, split foes to challenge nearing the furlong grounds, dueled past the sixteenth marker, led late, caught by the winner late while edging clear for the place. WHENEVERUREMEMBER settled off the pace inside, moved closer in the second turn, steered out three wide for room upper straight, challenged, dueled with the runner up the final furlong, outkicked by that rival late while also unable to contain the winner. MR. KEYS dueled briefly early, allowed the early leader to go before a quarter, chased that one up the backstretch, challenged second turn, weakened gradually through the stretch. MOTION GRANTED sprinted clear while used early first turn, showed the way the middle half bend faltered when the real running began turning for home. THEN WHAT TIME within striking distance while three wide and in hand, came up empty on the outside exiting the final turn. HOPE'S ALIVE broke in to bother RUNNER EYES, was straightened to race in the second flight off the inside, four wide first turn, began to tire after five furlongs. RUNNER EYES bothered, checked up start, trailed throughout and was never a factor.
